The Scriptures

The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy.
Psalms 19:7-10; 119:11,105; Matthew 5:17-18; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12

God

There is only one living and true God. He is the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is all powerful and all knowing. The triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes.
A. God the Father
God as Father reigns over His universe and His creatures according to the purposes of His grace. He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise. God is Father only to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ.
Psalms 19:7-10; 119:11,105; Matthew 5:17-18; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12
A. God the Son
Christ is the eternal Son of God. Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. On earth, Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God, taking upon Himself human nature, yet without sin. By His substitutionary death on the cross, He made provision for men to be redeemed from sin. He was raised from the dead and appeared to His disciples in person. He ascended into heaven and one day will return to judge the world. He now dwells in all believers.
Genesis 1:1; Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 53:1-12; Matthew 1:18-23; John 1:1-18,29; Romans 3:23-26; 5:6-21; Philippians 2:5-11; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; Hebrews 1:1-3; 4:14-15; 1 John 1:7-9; Revelation 1:13-17; 12:10-11; 13:8; 19:16
A. God the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. He inspired men to write the Scriptures. He enables people to understand truth. He convicts people of sin and invites us to trust Jesus to be our Savior. He gives each believer spiritual gifts by which they serve God through His church. He provides Christians with the guarantee that we will one day enter into eternity in heaven.
Genesis 1:2; Judges 14:6; Job 26:13; Psalm 139:7; Matthew 1:18; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:3-13; Galatians 4:6; Ephesians 1:13-14; 1 Timothy 3:16;1 John 4:13; Revelation 1:10; 22:17

Man

Man is the special creation of God, made in His own image. Therefore, every person is worthy of respect and Christian love. In the beginning, man was innocent of sin and was given the freedom of choice. By his free choice man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race. Through the temptation of Satan, the first man and woman violated God’s command and lost their original innocence. Each human being has inherited a sin nature. Therefore, as soon as we are capable of moral choice, we are accountable to God as sinners. Only God’s grace enables man to fulfill God’s purpose.
Genesis 1:26-30; 2:7; Psalm 139; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:10,23; 7:14-25

Marriage and Sexuality

God created human beings as uniquely male and female. The gift of gender is thus part of the goodness of God's creation. Marriage is ordained by God with the intention of establishing a lifelong covenant relationship between one man and one woman. In order to affirm God’s design for human sexuality, those currently living in sexual relationship other than the marriage of one man and one woman as created by God, are ineligible for church membership. The pastoral staff will only participate in weddings and officiate marriages between one man and one woman. The facilities and property of the Church will only host weddings and other related celebrations that affirm the biblical teaching of marriage between one man and one woman.
Genesis 1:26-30; 2:7; Psalm 139; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:10,23; 7:14-25

Salvation

Salvation is offered freely to all who, by faith, accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. By His own voluntary death on the cross, Jesus serves as the only acceptable payment for the sins of mankind. There is no other way to obtain forgiveness of sin except by personally and willingly trusting Jesus Christ and His death as the only satisfaction for God the Father’s wrath toward sin. While on earth, genuine believers may still fall into sin through temptation. However, God’s grace still preserves the promise of eternal life in heaven.
Genesis 3:15; Matthew 1:21; Romans 1:24-27; John 3:3-21; Acts 4:12; Romans 5:8-10; 6:23; 10:9-10,13; Galatians 2:20; Ephesians 1:7, 2.8-10; 2 Timothy 1:12; 1 John 1:6-10; Revelation 3:20

The Church

The church consists of a local congregation of baptized believers who willingly unite together in a covenant with one another to live out God’s mission in their local community and throughout the world.
Matthew 16:15-19; Acts 2:41-47; 14:21-28; 20:28; Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 1:18; 1 Peter 5:1-4; Revelation 2-3; 21:2-3

End Times

God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth; the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness. The unrighteous will be consigned to Hell, the place of everlasting punishment. The righteous in their resurrected and glorified bodies will receive their reward and will dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord.
